RACE: TALC & ASH
RACE: Talc & Ash is a movement duet piece about gentrification, race and class in Washington, DC. The performance is set up like a sporting event, complete with a pre-show tailgate party and live commentators. A series of community workshops were held leading up to the performance and voices from the community were woven into the soundtrack.
